BioWhen I was a little girl I wrote stories in diaries covered in soft gray cloth and marbled purple-silver-pink paper, parchment on the inside. I wrote in purple, blue, black ink. I pretended it was the story of my life but it was actually much more interesting, full of princes and fairies and goblins and the occasional talking animal.

Now I'm a quarter of a century old and my diaries are still covered in fairyland. I talk to people who aren't there, and sometimes they tell me their stories. I'm not an author, I'm a biographer for things that don't happen, for countries that don't exist. Which doesn't matter, you know. Reality has never been a pre-requisite of fame and if I'm very lucky a small fortune will come along with that.
Having decide that I preferred my fantasy worlds to the real one (since, among other things, I can actually fix the problems in my fantasy world) I decided to live there forever more. Unfortunately the real world intrudes every so often to nag me about jobs, money, bills, loans, food, cleanliness, and other such pesky matters. In order that I may banish it forever, I have decided to turn author. It's harder than it looks, but I'm making slow progress.
